Isles finished 13th overall last season, they've done nothing to improve on that. Yeah sorry the islanders aren't the best team in the NHL sorry.

You don't need to be the best team in the league to win. Islanders are a tough team to beat in the playoffs as shown in 2 of the last 3 seasons. Islanders vastly improved... they didn't resign chara, greene and they added romonav. Comeback seasons from Barzal, Beau, Palmeri and the Isles will be a force to be reckoned with again. Losing chara in itself is the best transaction possible. Trotz would play him 20 minutes a game LOL

Many people are forgetting that the isles currently have almost the same roster as their semi final playoff run. Excluding kamorav zajac and leddy. All who have now been replaced. Leddy replaced by romanov zajac and komarav replaced by lee and parise. the isles are a team that is alot better and faster now.
