That's way too much to give up to trade away 1.5 years of Zaitsev.

Okay let's calm down a bit on the Zaitsev deal. His contract is terrible, but it's not like he's pumping radon into the vents of Orleans public schools.

Not really close for me for Vegas. Whitecloud locked up for 6 years at 2.75 would bring in more, especially when you believe he’s good enough to be top pairing lol

There is absolutely no reason Vegas would trade Whitecloud

Seeing as they are barely cap compliant, he starts on their 3rd pairing with Hague, Chayka, and Cormier in the pipeline, they could definitely use the goaltending prospect which Meralainen is a very good one.... and a 2nd rounder in a strong draft, plus it gives them close to $3M to address their forwards, as outside of their top line, their depth has taken some serious hits. So I do believe they'd be open to trading Whitecloud.

I have him as a top pairing in Ottawa because we completely lack depth, and the fact that Whitecloud was Chabot's partner at the WHC they would already have chemistry. If based on talent Zub would make more sense than Whitecloud. But Chabot has won with Whitecloud as is partner so it would be worth exploring.
