Description

Holland's trying to max out his LTIR, and as such, I'd say this is the closest to the starting day roster we're going to see.

Derek Ryan and Dimtri Samorukov could be claimed, but I doubt either would be.

Likely scenario? This maxes out available LTIR, and as soon as the ink is dry on that, Edmonton moves a player.

Actually 0 in cap space as the LTIR prior to season start will only open up exactly the amount necessary to be cap compliant. Any unused amount is wasted. This is probably as close as you can get it though so good job.

This maxes out the Accruable Cap Space Limit (ACSL.) From this site's FAQ, "The ACSL is only calculated when a team first enters LTIR, if a player is placed on LTIR while another player is already on LTIR, the ACSL is not recalculated. In the event that a team stops using LTIR, their ACSL resets to the default upper limit of the active season, upon reentering LTIR, the ACSL is again recalculated.

As I understand it, the game plan is to maximize the relief pool.
