Durzi is expected to be healthy within the next few days, with LAKI Zach Dooley reporting that he's "close to rejoining the full group for camp skates." He won't be on IR in 2 weeks when the season starts.

If Clarke does make the team out of camp, one of a few things will have to happen.

1. Kings demote both Bjornfot and Moverare to Ontario, with the latter having to clear waivers.
2. The Kings start with 13 forwards and 8 defensemen, meaning either Byfield starts in Ontario, or Andersson and JAD both go on waivers.
3. The Kings trade Sean Durzi.

It is time for Blake to start considering trading some of the Kings prospects so they are not lost on waivers.

It looks like Blake took the risk he would lose some of these prospects in light of all the injuries last year and whether their return would be delayed. I don’t see that being a bad gamble since I don’t believe Anderson-Dolan, Andersson and Moverare were going to fetch much of a return anyway. It may be a foregone conclusion that Andersson and Moverare are going to be waived and sent to Ontario unless they pick it up in the next few days. I think Moverare will get claimed.

I can see both Arvidsson and Durzi being given an extra 2 weeks to get into “game shape”. That allows the Kings to get a better look at Vilardi on the 2nd line and see if Clarke is ready for the NHL.
