    Bahahaha this is really funny.

I never said i could prove anything. I actually said the exact opposite, because…duh.
You’re telling me I’m ignoring stats when you’re saying a guy that’s been sub .900 over the last three years is an upgrade?

One thing is very clear though - you are very good at lying to yourself.

yes, i very clearly showed you that by several metrics that Murray and Samsonov are an upgrade on what Campbell and Mrazek provided last season. This was very clear, I dunno why this is so hard for you.
And you see, when you are predicting something based on a previous season you use all the results you can not just a singular number that makes you feel better about yourself, but hey, you seem to be very familiar with how to lie to ones self

And i showed you a whole bunch of evidence why that’s dead wrong. Who’s to say who’s right? It’s almost like it’s subjective.

I’d say 98% of the hockey watching population is likely on the Murray is a downgrade side of this conversation though. Not that that means much.

you showed me save percentage, that's not a bunch of evidence, that's a single piece of evidence. I provided you with several stats, all of which are a more focused look at actual goaltending performance with more noise removed, but hey, dont let that stop you.
And I'd say that 98% of the hockey watching population would say the leafs downgraded if they got Kuemper simply because the leafs got him

Why do NHL executives disagree with you?

so you think that the leafs did an awesome think in trading Kadri and for foligno? that the Forsberg to Nashville for Erat trade was awesome? That Rask to the Bruins was a brilliant move because Raycroft won the Calder? Or do you disagree with NHL executives?

I disagree with them all the time. That said: Ottawa was given the opportunity to shop Murray around the league, and had to pay to get rid of him with salary retention.
The entire league got to bid on the services of Campbell, and decided he was worth a big contract.

Seriously, life is so much easier when you quit lying to yourself. It’s okay if your favorite team makes a mistake. It’s not your fault.

ah yes, the entire league was bidding on these guys when there were only like 3 actual contending teams looking for a goalie externally. You keep talking about lying to yourself and these hits keep coming.
You realise you're hanging your hat on a result that saw the team who played mike smith willingly for years signing a goalie who was probably the worst int he league for 40+ games to a 5 million dollar contract that expires when he's 35 right?

    They weren’t negotiating against themselves.

I’m sure everything will get better, because the leafs just get unlucky. I’m sure the sub .900 goalie will be good all of a sudden, because why not?

yeah, and im sure the guy who was a backup until he was 29 with like 40 good games as a starter over 2 seasons is totally that guy into his 30s.

So why do you think the guy that’s been horrid for three years with injury issues will be better?

I know the answer but you can go ahead if you’d like.

You haven’t specifically answered it actually. You have indirectly answered it way more than three times however: its willful ignorance and blind loyalty.

honest question, have you ever been able to take in information that didnt jive with your original point without turning into a petulant 3rd grader about it? Because it's not normal for someone to get so riled up by being told that the leafs goaltending that was bad last year might be slightly better based off a few stats
