I really like Zetterlund he has been really good but he isn’t a 4th liner. He needs to be on the 3rd line at least. The problem is that the devils have deadweight in the form of Tatar and Johnsson who both suck and just take up roster spots. The devils will be good this year but they won’t make the playoffs. If they didn’t have Tatar and Johnsson and they could have a solid 3rd line maybe they would have a chance. I like Bahls and I don’t mind him instead of Smith but I would rather Ohkytuk

I agree with this completely with the caveat of 3LHD will be a battle to the wire on who deserves it.

This makes no sense to me, because if your premise was true they could still be a playoff team by swapping Zetterlund/Tatar and bumping Bastian lol

Also Bahl has been a lot better than Okhotiuk this preseason. He just doesn’t catch the eye as much. He’s been much better at limiting dangerous chances and getting the play started in the right direction. He’s also extremely physical so you don’t even lose that element.

Yeah I don't think he does either. But, he's been unable to make his talent work in the NHL to this point. It might not be a horrible thing if he doesn't clear.

Whatever happens they are not gonna be consistently good, they are not gonna become the winning team they can be with their current roster, until Ruff is gone they may win a game sometime with him but he needs to go. It is obvious now that he is really causing the team to not play to its best ability. The problem is I have doubts that Fitz will pull the trigger

Just saw this and lol skaters have been pretty good through 7 games and lead in just about every offense and defense category.

No I think the goalies are fine and people blame the goalies cause the whole team sucks. I have always thought the coaching and the system was the Maine problem as they just weren’t putting all the pieces together and utilizing all their skill but now they are and they have been good.
