Predictions Standings Stats and Trophies for Rangers
Team: 2022-23 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 13, 2022
Published: Oct. 13, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description My predictions for season
1. Rangers win the Metro by a narrow margin, clinching on the final day of season against the Maple Leafs.
2. Shesterkin picks up right where he left off last year and cruises to back-to-back Vezina trophies.
3. Norris trophy comes down to coin flip between the games top-two best young stars on defense, Cale Makar and Adam Fox. Fox wins by a hair thanks to his solid play down the stretch.
4. Kreider starts the year on another 50 goal pace, but is slowed by mid-year injuries and ends up with only 45.
5. Kravtsov starts off slow with only 7 points in 29 starts (in first 36 team games). But the team sticks with him and in late December, he breaks out in game against Washington. After a 1st period fight, he puts up 4 goals and 2 assists for a Ranger 8-1 win. He scores 42 points in final 46 games.
6. Lafreniere continues his 5v5 dominance with 24 even strength goals, anchoring the third line with Chytil and Goodrow.
7. Kakko ends the year with 28 points, but strong analytics. On Nov 28th, Ryan Reaves puts an end to Jack Hughes' season (after 22 games) and so Kakko once again ends year with higher point total between the two.
8. Trocheck acclimates to Ranger hockey, but serves admirably as 2C all season, putting up 67 points.
9. Zac Jones proves to be capable PP2 player, and ends year with 33 points (18 via power play) and finishes in top-10 for Calder trophy.
10. Rangers, of course, win the cup.

Taking the over on Kakko, 1RW, and seems 1st in line for additional PP time

I never said Leafs were in Metro. I said,
"Rangers win the Metro by a narrow margin, clinching on the final day of season against the Maple Leafs."
Ranger's last game of the regular season is against the Maple Leafs.

Fair enough. I wasn't looking at their schedule
