Broberg is a B propsect at best and that 1st would be a final 4 with Chychrun. ASU says no and goes for a rip.

Chychrun is injured, we don't know how good he's going to be going forward. Nobody is trading for him until Christmas at the earliest - they'll want to see him healthy and playing well and that'll take time.

Besides, this is too much to pay IMO. He's massively overrated on this site, he's a decent 2nd pairing guy but not worth multiple 1sts.

What? That's absolutely not true. It was reported that Armstrong insisted on Broberg being included in any offer, so Ken Holland walked. So that's 2 out of 2 GM's in this deal who value Broberg highly.

I'd much prefer a Shutdown RHD, but just going on who might be available

And since than our Defense has looked horrible I could see Holland being more open to trading him now, being Arizona's ask has come down as well

Seems like that's 2 GM's who can't assess defensemen and/or D prospects then, particularly since both teams have had trash D since both GM's took over.

Zona doesn't NEED to trade Chychrun despite his ask outta town, esp before TDL... or even the offseason. Next year should be up and coming year, he can spend all season healing and playing PP mins

Wow, that's a lot of arrogance in a single sentence! Somehow they are the ones with multi-million-dollar paychecks and you're arguing on the internet! tears of joy

At some point they do need to move him. It's never a good idea to keep a guy who publicly wants out, there is pressure on that organization to move him. It puts them at a disadvantage in negotiations and other teams know it, that's why he hasn't been moved already.
