Flames En Fuego

Description
A few minor tweaks. Note: thought of dropping Brouwer somewhere, or getting Vegas to pick him in the expansion draft instead of Stajan. The Neiderreiter deal is maybe doable (might need a better pick thrown in) and Bernier will be a great goalie to sign for the short term while the G prospects shore up.

Not enough to get the Wild interested.

Alex Chiasson is a 13th forward on a good team. What makes you think that Nino for Chiasson and a bunch of non 1st round picks is equal value?

The Flames are a good team, and Chiasson wasn't our 13th forward.

But I agree, that package isn't enough for Nino.

I would just be a jerk and put in an offer sheet on Nino (nothing will be good enough for Wild Armchair GMs). Wild have to sign 8 players to hit the 23 person roster, they only have $11,441,409 in space & how much of that will go to Granlund who rightfully is the prioritywink Bettman was saying he supports keeping the Cap flat next year. (I do expect a small increase though)
They might match, but that'd leave them in big time cap trouble. If a player of his calibre costs us a late 1st and a 3rd next year...I'd say it's worth it.

The problem with offer sheets is getting players to sign them. I'm sure there are plenty of them offered to players, just none sign them. They use them as bargaining chips with their current clubs.

Totally agree with that statement 100%, most players want to stay put (tough to uproot families) I also half expect the Wild to pay a team to take a contract so they can have enough money to sign everyone (probably have to flip Pominville who had a decent year for a 4th and retain half the salary) - too bad though, I actually really like the Wild fan base.
