Is the thought process to have Zaitsev there so we don't need to sign a RD next season? Assuming we either ship Shatty out or just let his contract expire, and we move Klingberg, we limp to years end and run Myers, Drysdale, and Zaitsev next season?

I'm not sure we need to move Silfy, he seems to have gotten his scoring touch back, someone just needs to make sure he is facing the right net before he lets loose.

If we are going to have Regenda come up, I'd like to restore the Jones-Grant-Regenda 4th line, they were humming in the pre season, still not sure why Eakins broke them up.

How do you see Boeser integrating into the team long term, he doesn't seem like a usual 3rd liner.

The Silfvy Zaitsev trade was to just see how people saw the deal and what people think is fair, I don’t necessarily think both deals happen, probably just Zaitsev or just Myers

Laughed at the needing to make sure of what net Silfvy is shooting on😂

I don’t know about Boeser being a ‘3rd line guy’ but neither is McTavish but I think they could compliment eachother decently while Rico would be nice on the other side — I think that would give 3 decent lines that all have scoring potential which is much better than only having Z and Terry like how they are pretty much it so far

I'd like to pick up Myers at this point, his size, hit, and shot block would be good, and I think next season we let both Shattenkirk and Klingberg walk, Run Drysdale-Myers-Helleson on the right side, let Myers train Helleson how to be a big, physical defenseman. Throw Warren in for his 9 game stint at some point to get some reps in with Myers showing him the ropes.
GeneralLandro liked this.

I think it’s smart especially if we can get him 1-2 mil retained

I’d be real happy with something like the trade I have here for him

I'm just not sold on Boeser, especially at 6 mil for three years. I'd be satisfied with bad Moore and the 4th for Myers 2 mil retained. We just need to get a top 4 defensive/complimentary LD next season for Drysdale, and I know Boston has plenty of those they want to unload.

@GeneralLandro

Ottawa has zero interest in doing that. Have to manage the cap very carefully for the 2023-24 season

That is why they will keep the guy who has less AAV and less salary next season and who is a cheaper buyout

They also have zero need for Silfverberg
