If I had the choice between Hampus (who I love...great Duck...) and Parayko, I'd be taking Parayko every day of the week.

In their prime, I would 100% take parayko. Lindholm is better than Parayko right now.

I think it goes to show you that the system that a player plays in is one of those things that isn't accounted for in analytics though, right? Hampus didn't just all of the sudden go to Boston and become twice the dman that he has been throughout his career...I would argue that Parayko is probably in a similar situation right now...

FWIW, I'm absolutely not arguing with you, just enjoying this discussion!

Yeah like I watched Hampus last year and he was AWFUL. It’s quite interesting. Also Florida turning montour and Forsling into strong middle-pair options was really something

I don't think the system plays a huge role though, its more about quality of teammates . Parayko's Quality of teammate % has been much higher than lindholms over the past 3 seasons. I don't think Lindholm is twice the Dman , it's more that the forwards are able to capitalize on the chances he creates more than in Anaheim.

*Banging loudly on my desk* NO IT'S BECAUSE DALLAS EAKINS IS THE WORST COACH IN HOCKEY!!!!

Kidding...well, not about Dallas being a plug, but yeah...I'm happy that Hampus is good, and that Manson did well with the Avs, and that Rakell has been solid enough for the Pens. I do think that Parayko alongside of a left handed Charlie McAvoy or someone who can drive the play would improve his numbers dramatically though.
