That's why I used a 41 game sample....but you think 20 career points is somehow better than your projected less than 35 points smile))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Points aren't everything, nobody expects Duhaime to have a 60-70 point season, I expect him to have over 200 hits a year and so far, that checks out

Lets just do something simple:

Top 5 in hits:
Schenn
Hathaway
Clutterbuck
Fehevary (who?)
Jeannot

VAN, WSH, NYI, EDM.... all kinda....suck.

No disrespect, but I'm sure if you have ever skated in your life, you could hit people. Great skill set. LOL.

Sabres have plenty of goal scorers who are much more efficient. Mitts has 0 5v5 goals

The Sabres need to start hitting people more than another skilled guy who isn't producing goals

It's so easy the Sabres are dead last again and when games get physical they disappear again. That's not going to hold up over 82 games

The Islanders are 4th in the league, the rangers and Washing are both in the same spot as Buffalo...

Quinn averages 12:31 minutes a game and has 5 points
Mittlestadt averages 16:37 a game with 8 points

So your idea is to get rid of one of the most physical players and defensive players on the team?

WSH 23 in pts percentage
NYR 19th
NYI 11th
BUF 17th

umm, yea, I see the correlation. good point Shibal. We should trade for 4th line checking forwards. You're so right.

Who the F*** is Duhaime and why on earth do you wanna trade for him?

Some BUF have completely lost their marbles on Mitts.

They were drafted in the same draft class.
Player 1: 8G 12A
Player 2: 35G 53A

What a great tweak.

We just gonna ignore that there is also a 2nd in the trade?

At least 25 including Jimmy "Scoops" Hayes RIP
Dave Bolland had more points in his last 208 games than Mittlestadt has

Let me do All THE WORK....

We got Duhame with 20 CAREERRRRRR points. ****ing impressive.

Since 2012:
Jake McCabe 103 in 437GP
McGinn 133 in 422,
Tiernev 226 in 561
Martinook 135 in 490
Severson 232 579
Shore 127 387
Compher 144 352
Lehkonen 165 423
Bertuzzi 189 278
Sanford 97 296
Barbeshev 153 362
Montour 161 386
Donato 111 265
Dvorak 185 372
Fischer 90 330
Aho 416 458
Hintz 187 252
Greenway 112 274
Anderssson 122 310
Dunn 145 354
Kyrou 126 184
DeBrincat 318 380
Girard 148 351
Hronek 126 258
Robertson 144 141

Let's recap...In the past 10 years, there are 25 players that have more points than Mitts. Let's be conservative and say 30 picks in the 2nd round...In 10 years, that's 300 players. 25/300 players have outperformed Mitts, who was drafted in 2016.

But sure...2nd round pick and a grinder sounds like fair value.

Just to make the math simple...25/300 is 8.3% chance of drafting someone better than Mitts in the next 10 years.

Dont need to worry about drafting a guy better than mitts when there already is one who has to watch from the press box lol. Kulich,Rosen,Savoie,Ostlund will all be better than mitts btw

Mitts has been playing pretty good defensively & has turned into a pretty decent 2way center
Sabres are unlikely to move him at this point

I realize that not every 2nd round pick makes the NHL, but are we really going to act like it's worthless?

We're going to act like it's a lottery ticket that has a 25% chance of being remotely NHL caliber 5-7 years from now.

When? They are 18.

Girgensons has more points than Gretzky this year, btw.

It's funny, people said "Mitts will be better than ROR"

When do people ever learn? Prospects don't always turn out like you think they will and certainly not on the timeline you think they will. It was just one year ago that people were calling Dahlin terrible and trying to trade Tage for a 2nd round pick.

If Kulich, Rosen, Ostlnd were better than Mitts, they would be playing. Instead Mitts is a top PP and PK F in the league.

Maybe in 5 years those guys can be better than Mitts. Maybe.
