At $8 million a year for 7 years he is a great fit nowhere. Canucks just signed him after he scored 99 points for them, so why trade him?

Because he doesn't fit the phase of the team. Its clear that VAN needs to be torn down and he is still right in his prime and should be on a team that can contend.

Your GM JUST signed him to an extension, which hasn't even started yet, so how can he not "fit the phase" of the team. That's insane.

Which only shows how deep the Avs D is, not his value, and it's arguable as to whether he's 3rd, 4th or 5th best so.........
