With Chytil's recent improvements, the Rangers have no need for another bottom 6C, so they have no reason to make this trade.

Nah, he looked ok there last night with a goal and assist. Mika is one of the best 1C in the league, and the best use of Trocheck is as 2C with Panarin, and Chytil is becoming a legit 3C, especially with Laffy and Kakko as a line, so ZERO need for Casey. Much better trades out there to pursue such as a top 6 RW so the suitcase can go back to the 4th line. Rangers have no need for this trade.
