Why is DAL theoretically moving on from Ty? Had a nice season in the AHL last year and seems to be doing fine so far this year with the Stars?

well in theory it could be good for DAL, if they have both of the brothers it might make it easier to lock up Jason to a more reasonable contract because he gets to play with his brother. maybe not but who knows.

No. Dellandrea is slowly becoming an important and very versatile player on the roster and he is already an important figure in the locker room. He is probably the next Captain of the team.

He plays the PK and let's not forget the offensive contribution with 12 points (he does not play on the PP) in 22 games in his real first NHL season.

As much as I'd love the other Robertson, Dellandrea is on pace for a 45 point year in his first full NHL season. He's one I'd have been much more inclined to move prior to the season, but after his strong start I'd much rather see Dallas hold on to him and see if he can build off of this strong start.

Stars say no easily.
Dellandrea has a full-time spot on the roster as a dependable middle-6 forward.
Robertson is a frequent healthy scratch.
Pretty easy to see why Dallas declines.
