Description
Good two points last night in Philly. Really solid game overall, theres nothing i wanna harp on.
Huge congrats to Stammer for his 1000th point. He'll likely have a ceremony Saturday before playing Toronto.

11 and 7 worked well last night. Fluery played well, better than he has over his last few. I really like Hedman and Sergachev playing together last night. They have great chemistry with each other. Its a shame one of them isnt right handed haha. I doubt they play together vs Toronto, pairings probably go back to normal. I really like the chemistry between Bogo and Cole lately, theyre a good pair. Offensively, nothing to touch on, everyone had a strong game in their own ways. Names really needs to get going tho. He plays hard, fast and smart, but he just hasn't been getting any quality looks at the net or setting up plays. He's great at zone entries, good on the forecheck and good defensively. He can be really valuable to us on the third line, but only if he can start getting scoring chances.

The second period was absolute domination over Philly. Insane offensive zone time. Very similar to Tuesdays tilt in Boston. We need to consistently stay with our grinding style of offense where we are just relentless on the other teams defenseman.

Should be a good one Saturday. Not sure if we'll go with 11-7, but i probably wouldn't i were Cooper. Toronto is currently small and very young on the blueline because of injuries. I would scratch Fluery and put Koepke back in the lineup, and the gameplan should be to play a hard effort game. It worked last year in the playoffs vs the laughs. Grind all over the ice, don't get cute with the puck and we'll wear down Toronto in their own zone. Physical and defensive minded hockey and we should have a good chance at the dub coming home from the road trip. I expect Hedman, Sergachev and Cernak will all likely north of 22 minutes. Depending on if we get sucked into taking penalties, Cole will see a lot of icetime.

Sounds a little crazy but maybe pair Bogosian with Hedman and Cernak with Cole make that the kinda shutdown Mac/Cernak pairing type thing.

Koepke looked good in Boston. Both are playing very similarly. Fast paced, hard checking, cutbacks, deep drives. Both just cant seem to get to the middle of the ice to save their life.

Yeah really. Koepke I’d love if he just chipped in offensively a little more

Now that Myers has been put on waivers for the second time in less than 2 months can we admit he's not really in the teams future plans .

Myers going on waivers is an indication of making salary cap room for Cirelli's return who is likely back for this game, if not the first game of the upcoming road trip.

Especially considering he's been skating in practice for a couple weeks now. Luckily you can still skate with a shoulder injury.
