Not to add a top six forward. Knies won't be moved. Niemela + 1st might get a top six asset but that's questionable even. Leafs would have to sell the farm for any of these players.

Niemela + 1st + additional assets could get us a top-6 forwards

AND we can do a 2 1sts package as well, i dont think we're short on assets when it comes to top-6 wingers EVEN IF we don't move Knies

Yeah he does have top-4 potential but we're trying to win now and Niemela is still 2 years away. We shouldn't have him untouchable if we are trying to bring in an impact player

They're not going to Quebec City if they do. So, if you think the Nordiques are born from them stop 🛑. With a population of just over 500k and a metropolitan area population of just under 900k and a median salary of just over $47k Canadian Dollars or just over 35k USD the franchise as the leagues review has stated isn't a viable option. Houston on the other hand with a population of 3.1 mil and a metro population of 7.1 mil with a median income of just over 53k USD or just over 71k Canadian. The NHL still makes money on Quebec City and would love to get a team in the 4th largest population city in the US.

I wasn't suggesting the Nordiques (even if I'd like to see them return). Logically Houston would make sense for a move, I personally want to see a team go to the Maritimes (call em the St. John Jolly Rogers) just cause. Pipedreams can be fun to think about lol
