Description

I didnt bother with all of the AHL signings this time

After Kovalenko's KHL contract expires he comes over to the NHL on a 1 year ELC. He's scoring just under a point per game in the KHL at age 23 which is pretty impressive

Sean Behrens is also signed to an ELC and fills in on the bottom pair

Toews signed to a big extension. He could get more if he went to market but I think he takes a discount to stay with the Avs at 7M. Its slightly more than what Weegar, Lindholm, and Sanhiem signed for and at 8 years he gets security

Assuming Puljujarvi performs well with the Avs and they turn him into a versatile winger who can play anywhere in the top 9. They extend him 2.5Mx2, just like they did with Nichushkin

Francouz extended again 2x2.5M

To have those contracts both Newhook and Byram would have to sign 1 yr deals this off season neither them or the Avs are doing that. Just don’t see Toews getting that kind of contract unless the cap really blows up.
