Those are both awful trades for the Canucks. The Canucks are in just as much of a rebuild as the Avalanche are, trading for Duchene makes no sense. Both Demko and Boeser are untouchable, and why you think an elite goalie prospect in Demko is worth a 36 year old defenseman, a goaltender that we traded away, and a late fourth is beyond me. Three blue chip prospects and 33rd overall is an overpayment for a centre that won't be in his prime when the Canucks need him to be.

A lot of unreal cap dumping. Canes has three goalies but you trade the overpaid Varlamov for the young stud Aho. Your signing of Kuemper for 10m might be your best move.

I would love to see these trades happen for us but never going to happen:

> Lack, E + Aho, S + 2017 6th round pick (CAR) for Varly - Varlamov, S. - I WOULD NEVER TAKE THIS IF I WAS CAROLINA, VARLY IS TOO HIT AND MISS AND I THINK AHO HAS A HIGHER TRADE VALUE THAN VARLY ANYWAY
> 2017 1st round pick (DAL) + 2017 2nd round pick (DAL) + 2017 3rd round pick (DAL) for Landeskog, G + Soderberg, C.. - I THINK TAKE THE 2ND AND 3RD FOR SODERBERG MAYBE OK BUT NEED MORE THAN A 1ST FOR LANDESKOG
> Virtanen, J + Boeser, B + Goldobin, N + 2017 2nd round pick (VAN) + Demko, T for Duchene, + M. Beauchemin, F. + Lack, E. + 2017 4th round pick (NYR) - VANCOUVER WOULD DEFINITELY NOT EVEN REPLY TO THIS AT ALL, I WOULD NOT. THE FUTURE OF THEIR TEAM FOR A GOALTENDER THEY ALREADY GOT RID OFF AND AN AGEING DEFENCEMAN, DOES NOT HELP THEM AT ALL.
> 2017 2nd round pick (NJD) + Colborne, J. - WE'D BE LUCKY TO GET A 2ND FOR HIM, I WOULD SAY 4TH AT BEST
> 2017 3rd round pick (BUF) for Comeau, B. - POSSIBLY FAIR
> Juulsen, N + Mete, V + 2017 1st round pick (MTL) for Barrie, T. - DON'T KNOW ENOUGH OF THESE TWO YOUTH TO OFFER MY OPINION
> Chychrun, J + Keller, C + Strome, D for Barberio, M. + Johnson, E. + 2017 7th round pick (COL) - WHAT!! 3 FIRST ROUND PROSPECTS FOR A 3RD LINE D-MAN AND AN INJURY PRONE D-MAN. ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY WILL BE THE BACKBONE OF ARIZONA FOR YEARS TO COME
> 2017 2nd round pick (CAR) + 2017 3rd round pick (CAR) for Greer, A. + Grigorenko, M. - I WOULD RATHER KEEP OUT PLAYERS, GREER WILL BE PLAYING THIS SEASON I RECKON AND WILL BE BETTER THAN WHAT WE COULD PICK UP WITH EITHER PICK.

Overall some very poor trades IMO as much as I would love for most of them to be reality but this is more like a dream.
