Heh. The funny thing about the Blues drafting acumen is that teams can be reasonably sure the Blues will hit pretty good to great with a draft pick they traded to them. Tarasenko, Perron, Kyrou, Binnington, Husso, Backes, Emerson, Barbashev, Edmundson and a bunch of solid soldiers like Cole, Carrier, Stempniak = all drafted from picks acquired in trade. Even oldies like Sutter and Liut were from traded picks. They hit far better on acquired picks than they do on their own picks, where they take guys like Jeff Taffe and Jordan Schmaltz and Shawn Belle and Marek Schwarz in the 1st round. Oh daaamn... should I always be asking for picks in AGM trades?
