My thinking on making the trade is the Devils have Nemec and Hughes coming up and Casey would be a good piece to move for someone that has playoff experience and can take the 3C spot and woudn't be a huge contract to extend if they wanted

That’s fair, but the logjam in the D pipeline isn’t an excuse to make a trade where the value is that far off
