I would not call this the best offseason. Get rid of our number 1 defenseman on a great contract for a mid-late 1st round pick in a below average draft? And sign Shattenkirk to a more expensive deal than what niskanen was making? You also have Chorney as the 6th defenseman and he's playing the right side, as well as putting Bowey who has never played an NHL game in the top 4. You also put Johansson at center and Eller at wing, and then failed to resign Philipp Grubauer. What exactly is going on in this scenario? Nothing makes sense.

Niskanen would probably be playing top pair in BOS. He'd be great next to Chara. The caps would get more than a 1st for him likely, considering his age, productivity, contract length and value.
