I see where you are coming from. However, this accelerates the rebuild and the pick, which is in 2021, probably won't be as valuable as the 2020 pick. But after posting this and looking back at the comments, the 2nd or anything else attached is probably not going to happen.

Not going to lie I like the idea and it does make sense. However, I'm almost positive Sweeney is going to try and lock up McAvoy long term.

As far as the return for Krejci, it can't be much money coming back. The best return you'll probably get is to trade him to a team that is on the brink of the playoffs. Trade for their first round pick plus more and hope they miss the playoffs. That pick now becomes a lottery pick. As far as Coyle goes I want him to play on the 2nd line. His regular season wasn't much but in the playoffs, he was one of our top forwards. He can play in big moments and I'm going to be comfortable if he's there.

I gave him a bridge deal. Go low because of the cap and then give him more money when that deal is over.

That's where I don't want Panarin. I want to keep this core that we have so I would rather have those two than just Panarin.

The Money may be off but the term is pefect. The 7 years will bring him to 28 which is just in time for his Big Boy deal, as it is for most players.

Krug to EDM

It's the only defenseman to trade. Carlo and McAvoy are pretty much untouchable. Chara has to retire here. Miller and McQuaid aren't getting you much. Grezlyk we signed to fill in for Krug, and we justed signed John Moore. I hate the idea of trading Krug but I think it's what has to be done.

DeBrusk played a little bit of his offwing while he played with Donato this year. Plus Panarin is Right-Handed so you could put on the right side.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nalzugaray12</b></div><div>Don’t see the need for a top 6 winger just yet. Let’s see how Donato pans out this season before we talk about getting a top 6 winger.
Also really don’t know why everyone wants Krug out so bad. People don’t realize the talent he brings offensively to this team from the backend.</div></div>
If Donato ends up panning out that's great. But in a division where teams your competing with are getting superstars (ex. Skinner to Buffalo, Tavares to Toronto, Hoffman to Florida) you need as much talent as possible to try and compete. Krug is on the trading block mostly because he is the only defenseman to trade. Carlo and McAvoy are pretty much untouchable. Chara has to retire here. Miller and McQuaid aren't getting you much. Grezlyk we signed to fill in for Krug, and we justed signed John Moore. I hate the idea of trading Krug but I think it's what has to be done.

You don't necessarily have to resign him. If we have the chance too we will do what it takes. Plus by that time Heinen or Donato, we be able to step up in that role.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>This is a great deal for both teams.
Also I would try to trade Cehlarik and 2nd to CGY for Bennett and you would basically get this line-up:
Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak
Panarin-Krejci-DeBrusk
Donato-Bennett-Heinen
Acciari-Kuraly-Backes</div></div>
I like the idea of bringing in another center seeing that Heinen and Donato haven't had the chance to play in that position, but I'm not to high on knocking out both of the free agent signings we made at forward.

Krejci was asked about what teams he would like to go to before the trade deadline. In Boston, he will always be #2 even when Bergeron is injured. With Carolina, he has a chance to play 1st line center which I believe he has the potential to be one day.

I know Nash will get more than that and I always underestimate the amount he should make. I like JFK on the 4th line because it'll give him time to get used to the big leagues and then when he's ready to move up he'll probably swap with nash. Holden, I only resign so we have a 7th d man
