Description

A move has to be made, that's it. Along with the Krejci trade, you could probably flip that first with Backes and something else to get rid of the contract. Bjork or Frederic could come up but I put JFK because I really want him on the team this year. From here you could look to move around Krug for a more substantial Top 6 player or Try and get Johansson to sign for less. If a team like Detroit has been looking at Krug, I look to get back a guy like Bertuzzi. Probably going to get ripped for this but Let me know what you guys think.

NY is looking to accelerate the rebuild a little and getting an experienced center like Krejci would do just that. They're a team that could or couldn't make the playoffs. Krejci is coming off a career year and his value is as high as it can be. With the tight cap, unfortunately, Krejci has to go.

I dont see him being worth that much, especially with a team taking on the entire salary.

I agree. For sure a first but then I was in between a 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

I don't think they'll get a 1st for him. Teams know Boston is cap strapped and aren't going to do them a favor AND pay a big price

I see where you are coming from. However, this accelerates the rebuild and the pick, which is in 2021, probably won't be as valuable as the 2020 pick. But after posting this and looking back at the comments, the 2nd or anything else attached is probably not going to happen.
