PLD is on a tear this season and is an expiring RFA. It would cost you more than a 25 year old and a 22 year old C tier prospect to acquire him.

Why? PLD is Necas but a year older. Great play driving, iffy defensive metrics. Good offensively but has some struggles in his own zone sometimes. Why do this when you have the Necas at 2C option

Probably smart to load up at center to keep kotkaniemi on the 4th line where he belongs
