Isles will not pay y to dump Bailey, just buy him out in the offseason.

Wotherspon has not done enough to get a raise of that much, he would get under $1M for 2 years at the most.

Kuzmenko would be a good target.

Isles may look to trade Nelson in the offseason, and expect Parise to be back .

Answering @Warrior24's objection, we'll trade you Kevin Shattenkirk now for that Arizona package so you can get started re-signing him early. You might need him if you have to move Scott Mayfield at the trade deadline.

This is overpaying for wahlstrom & wotherspoon by about 1.5 million between the two if not more. Shattenkirk should never see NHL ice next season let alone get paid 2.5 mil to do so lol

Not a huge fan of Shattenkirk and do not think he is what Lou would be looking for on the backend unless it is for the league minimum.

Think that over. Right now, your team is 24th in the League on the power play and the lowest of the playoff contenders in that aspect of the game. Plus you get over a million in cap relief -- NOW.

Think this over, Shattenkirk has 1 PP point this year and would not replace Dobson or Pulock on the PP.

Shattenkirk would not even suit up for the Isles unless Mayfield was traded, and in that scenario would be a 16 minute a night #6 defenseman.

The Isles do not need cap relief as of right now they have close to $7M in deadline cap space and when they get players back from IR and send down the replacements they would have close to over $10M in cap space.

The Isles do not want or need Shattenkick.
