Hard to see the Sabres (or any potential lottery team) giving up their 2023 1st. This would be rushing the rebuild when they're still outside the playoff picture; value isn't bad, but makes more sense to stay the course if your the Sabres. Arizona could accept depending how high they are on Kulich; they'd likely want one more quality piece though (either upgrade the 2nd to a 1st or swap out one of the lesser prospects for Leinonen or Levi)

A. He’s a left d. B. We already have two left d that are potential superstars. C. We need right d not left d. D no way Levi and Kulich traded E best draft in years. Very few teams in first 20 giving up 2023 1st unless too good to be true and he’s not F he’s a left D

I agree with you from the BUF side of things - specifically Adams is not giving up his 1st rounder this year - nor are they trading Kulich after his WJC coming out party.

ARZ however I think would jump at something close to this. They also want an NHLer as part of the deal. So Mittelstadt or Olofsson probably gets included.

I do not see the LD v. RD being an issue if the talent is there. Dahlin, Power & Samuelson all take turns at RD. There is also no such thing as too many top end defensemen….if you can get them. But I do agree that Kulich & Levi are practically untouchable right now, and GMKA is highly unlikely to trade his 1st rounder during the season

LD vs RD is significant and not everyone can do it effectively. Most can’t. Your stick is on boards in natural hand. Easier than turning to retrieve pucks. We have two star/superstar left and one shutdown left
Agreed more great D better but our shots against horrendous and our toughness on the right slow or weak and need more players that can clear players. Joker carries puck but no physicality and Bryson has some physicality but dreadful defensively. Our dollar store other d not nhl level except Clague as spare
Many d id like us to have. If Arizona get Ghost not Chychrun
I hope first gets us Simashev,Reinbacher or Sandin-pellika
