I think a deal for Whitecloud, Dean, 23' 1st, 24' 3rd for Horvat and Schenn would probably be more palatable for the Canucks. They don't want to take on Karlsson's salary and would like to re sign Kuzmenko.

I'll agree Karlsson isn't a good fit for Vancouver but there is no way Vegas is downgrading Whitecloud for Schenn. If Vegas moves a defenseman its to free up cap (Martinez) and allow for Miromanov or Korczak to move into the lineup.
