Toews not doing that for Boston.

Move Zacha to C2 recall Lysell in place of Toews and you are far closer than most people are.

👍🏻

Sway and Freddy will cost double that tho. Which means bye to Cliffy

Not how it works Bud but good try, that’s how you get more overages not less also you need an injured player

BOS had 2-months of BM & CM on IR to start last yr.
Every team can find an IR chump or two, even the Buds on Front Street!

You can’t just find someone it needs to be someone from the roster, if you trade for someone already on LTIR you get no cap
relief but also it doesn’t negate any overages caused by performance bonuses which is what the B’s would be dealing with

"Find" is used as in on your own club.
When teams go deep in the playoffs they almost always have in-house injuries that linger past the start of the next campaign.
That is all.

Again LTIR doesn’t negate performance bonuses, that fee is not deductible, all that you can do is add to your available cap ceiling though it doesn’t negate the pervious fee so essentially it does nothing. (Sorry if you’re finding this rude or disrespectful i’m just trying to explain why this doesn't work)

No prob:
You contradicted yourself by saying "need an injured player in #4 post" & then saying in #8 "LTIR doesn't negate"?

Either way - it'll get solved as every NHL team has shown YTD.
For example, just look at Vegas which has been at the #1 Cap Jail position on CF all season and they currently sit #5-League wide in the standings...

They also had to give away 3 contracts for practically nothing Fleury, Dadonov & Patches. You can pretend that there is a way to escape those overage fee’s but there isn’t, The GM just has to work around them simple as that (Which i believe he can it’ll just be a lil challenging)
