Is there anything from Vancouver that you would want in a Mittlestadt trade? He fits the description Rutherford gave of a young NHLer who needs a second chance.

Optimally he’s valued at a second or third. I don’t think Buffalo trades him though unless they find a replacement forward for the middle six.

No and no. BUF isn't in the rental market, especially at high price tags. Giving up on Mitts and Asplund, plus 2 2nd round picks? Not likely. Especially for players that won't really move the needle.

Garland or Boeser are the two pieces that make sense on paper then. Maybe Hoglander if they're willing to move him.
