Why would Calgary ever consider that?

Don’t think either guy you’re targeting is the right fit for us

With Boeser,
He’s a bit too similar to Olofsson & we don’t really need another winger with all we have coming
Plus you’re overpaying for him

With Weegar,
He’s left handed & about to turn 30. Besides giving up a lot for him, do we really want a guy who’s 30 signed for 8 more years after this? I think not

I think there’s more suitable targets out there for us

Weegar shoots right, he usually plays the left side but is capable of playing both. He's played most of his career on the left though.

My bad, thought he was a lefty
But his age & contract length still disqualify him from someone the Sabres should target imo

We’re still a couple years away

Calgary doesn't want to give him up either, but I kinda of agree with you. The futures looking bright in Buffalo, no need to lock into an ageing contract. A young, solid, stay at home DFD for Dahlin makes more sense.

We seem to have found a long term partner for Dahlin in Samuelsson
But yeah, a young stay-at-home guy to partner with Power is just what we need
