I understand your frustration, but did you know that you can't retain salary more than three contracts?

It's pretty clear that this is a TEAM problem. Coaching plays a big part in this and support players are just not good enough. Plus, the talented might just be not well mixed. Hard to tell without a coaching change and without better depth, but roster construction aka building a team is like making a recipe, gotta add the right ingredients. Dorion is just not a cook.

After that said, not the time to sell low on your core players. The returns for Chabot and Batherson are quite decent/good, but don't know about Ekholm age. Would need to do due diligence and analyze how long I think he'd still be good.

            2 questions :

            - How is Vladar worth that much?

            - If you fired Dorion, then who does a Dorion move in signing Fast 2 x 3.0 AAV?

When you realize that Connor Brown had 3.6 AAV this year and Nick Paul 3.15 AAV, it really hurts.

            1) Maybe just the second. Even though Dustin Wolf looks ready, would Calgary want to move Vladar in the first place?

            2) Keep in mind that Paul is playing in a tax free state, so I'm not sure you can compare him and Fast's contracts. I'm interested to see what Connor Brown will get in free agency, since he's been injured all year.

            1) I don't know, it's your ACGM. I don't think Vladar is worth what is proposed here. Sens don't really need him, I wouldn't give up Brannstrom or a 2nd. Just hire any goalie to close out the season. If you're selling at the deadline, it doesn't matter

            2) I would be ready to pay more than his current 3.15 AAV for Paul. It's been something I have talked about since it happened as it was a really bad decision. Now almost every Sens fan share that thought
