I can't foresee Hawks making a trade that would involve their own picks going to another team unless they're later rounds. That 2nd round pick is gonna be #33-35 likely. You can essentially get late 1st round talent at that pick.

I think this a little short. The 1st and Chicago 2nd are more or less a wash since there shouldn't be much difference. JP doesn't carry a lot of value (Hawks didn't qualify Strome at close to same amount) and Foegel is a cap dump for a 2nd (a little inflation due to TDL). So Toews retained and Lafferty for a 3rd. Can't imagine Hawks do that.

Toews=2nd round pick
Lafferty=2nd round pick+Last year of Foegele
Jp for evening the cap.

or it could be the above and the possibility is that Edmonton's first round pick is 18th overall if they get knocked out in the first round.

CHI might accept that trade as it currently stands. That's a pretty big jump from a late TBL 2nd to a mid-late EDM 1st, plus the other picks. But it still feels a little incomplete or overcomplicated. Not far off in value though.
