Thats a real iffy second line, and beyond hope that it produces. Is Ylonen good enough for 3rd line? Is Farrell ready? Is that 3rd line too soft? Can Savard maintain quality as he ages as a 1st line RD? And an almost 12 million 4th line = ugh.

Listen it might cost the team a bit to move them, but Armia and Hoffman are 2 wastes of space and money, and they shouldn;t be near this team. If you're building a team through youngsters, guys like armia and hoffman, who are just eating money and icetime and wont be re-signed need to go

think that second line has potential to be ok, would take slaf taking a big next step for sure to be regular contributors. Ylonen has looked solid since his call up, should give him a solid look at the third line if he isnt good enogh (i think he is more than ready) then you know its time to move on from him. Farrell is expected to see some action at the end of the NCAA seasons, he has done nothing but produce at every level so far so we will have to wait and see. Savard is not a quality first pair on a team chasing a cup, luckily for him habs wont be next year so he will do fine there and probably be replaced at some point either through injury or Barron taking over that spot and reuniting that WJC pair. this line up is 11 mil under the cap, expensive 4th line really doesnt matter currently. and lastly i dont think Hoffman is wearing a habs jersey come next fall, either paid to be dumped or bought out. Armia i think may still be there cuz theres two more years on that deal but its with a short leash and regularly scratched if he struggles.
Hammerwise liked this.
