Yes the playoffs are different. But the fact that we have sustained injuries and continued to win games without any moves is relevant. I think the deadline needs to be about depth and youth. You lost the argument the moment you decided on Zach Parise that is the crux of my stance. The Bruins shouldn't have Parise as even a thought

Youth? Youth?

You think the deadline should be about youth? Team is on a historic pace, and your thought process is lets get some young inexperienced guys? What on earth are you on about?

that's what Cup contenders always do at the deadline, right? they move out experience for youth, tale as old as time

You are taking what I said to the extreme. I am not saying go get a prospect that is 20 years old. But in no world does a 38 year old make sense for a team that's already amazing, already old, and already low on picks.

did Zach Parise run over your grandma or something? I've never seen someone go off so hard on a literal depth forward making $750K. Dude has played hard on the Isles the last two years (sometimes it feels like he's the only one) and can do a little of everything. This is exactly the type of player the Tampas & Colorados of the world have targeted in the past few seasons (Corey Perry, Pat Maroon, Darren Helm, Andrew Cogliano) and it seems like it turned out well for those guys, didn't it?

Why? Why isn’t it perfect?

Mid-round picks - if you’re worried about that this year, what on earth is wrong with your priorities?
Age - who cares? He’s playing well, cheap, and experienced. Were you mad about that mark recchi pickup?
