I wanted to see how much cap space we have when looking at the team long term. Overestimating is always better then underestimating. And its not necessarily about the players, but rather the money that would go into those spots while again overestimating.

Olofsson would be gone in a year, Portillo has no value since he’s going to ufa, mitts I think would be worth maybe a 3rd in a trade. It would have to be Kulich in my opinion, have to have some high quality piece in the trade.

You can resign Olofsson. Mitts is on pace for 50 points and he would have an opportunity for 2C depending on moves. You can sign Portillo. And again he is more a placeholder for the cap then an actual trade for the player. Just playing with the new shiny toy

I heard something today that I agree with. buffalo is a team that as the season goes on only is going to get better. You can find the add on vet pieces over the next few years. Myers is a guy who will out of the league after that Vancouver contract expires.
