Description

My ideal draft w/o a lottery pick would be:
8th: Will Smith
22ish: David Reinbacher
28ish: Dmitri Simashev

Think this would be the perfect start to a retool. Then in the off-season, figure out how to restructure the defense. Gotta change some personnel somehow. Sign some fillers and Let the young forward prospects develop a bit longer. Have another bad/ mediocre year, restructure the defense cap some more then let prospects start to hit their stride, sign some big FAs and then competing again in after 2 down years.

This all looks pretty good and reasonable. I really don't know how we get out of this hole with Krug, Faulk, Leddy and Saad locked up for 4 more years. I don't think we retool. I think we're stuck being bad for at least a couple years barring some sudden resurgence of our D corps. There's just too much long-term cap dedicated to our terrible D.
