Well, let's be honest here, I think the Blues would be thrilled to get all but one of those pieces, it's a bit of a re-tool for them, minus Johnsson who is just a cap dump of course. The Devils would be better off this season with Tarasenko and Barbashev, no question whatsoever.

That's where I leave it lol.

These guys aren't a fit in NJ... the Devils need more competitive players. These guys strike me more as skill guys and NJ's filled to the brim with skill.

I don't disagree with Vladi being a skilled guy, new jersey does have loads of skill. But Barbashev has a little of everything, he can go up and down the lineup and score, forcheck whatever the team needs really. I hope the blues keep him. You would be thrilled with Barbashev, probably more than Tarasenko.
