Since when do cap dumps return a 1st?

I like this framework. Unfortunately, I’m guessing VAN needs to retain more and add a pick.
Like Garland with retention + 5th for a 2nd.

I stand corrected. I don’t subscribe to the Athletic so I can’t see that link.

However speculation is just speculation. Just because someone is reporting it doesn’t mean Canucks will trade him as a cap dump. Until it happens it’s all just hearsay
