Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth

I'd rather not have boesers contract on the books for that AAV and term. We can move on from mittelstadt after next year if we want and have about 9 players that will be ready to fill his spot.

After we pay cozens, dahlin, power and hand out rfa raises and sprinkle in vets we won't have money to waste

Yet you are willing to pay a 33yo defenseman 3 yrs at 6.75mil and not a 25yo forward 2 yrs at 6.65mil...your comment wasn't towards the player but the money being spent. Your comment makes no sense.

Boeser is not necessary. I believe mcdonagh is.

He will play top 4 with any injury. Thus far our top 4 has missed 41 total games due to injury. He has won cups and been a captain.

Boeser brings none of that and we have players already on the roster and about 10 prospects at the ready to be a middle 6 forward. We have no one to fill the role I have mcdonagh filling

Also my comment was 100000% about boeser as evidenced by me specifically stating HIS AAV and mentioning keeping mittelstadt and all the prospects. Mcdonaugh is one of the vets I mentioned "sprinkling in"

Your reply was not about the player but the cap being used...in your trade you used more cap for an extra year on a player that is 8 yrs older. The point being you aren't being constant, if 6.65 for 2 yrs presents a cap problem then 6.75 for 3 years obviously presents a worse problem.

I pretty thoroughly explained my reasoning. I have nothing else to add

Your reasoning is wrong, do I agree we need a LD over a forward by all means yes but there are cheaper to be had. If you had Nash hold 50% then that is a different story.
