Lose a 2nd and I think the Devils accept, but I think they get it done without Holtz.

Would think SJ would be interested in taking one or more of NJ's many RD prospects back in the deal, like one of Walsh, Casey, Muk, so imagine a 2nd being replaced by one of those here and downgrade the other 2nd. Would love 1st+Holtz+Muk/Casey but probably more realistic 1st+Holtz+Walsh+sweetener pick. And SJ can take a cap piece back to avoid retaining for NJ.

I don't know if Meier's price has actually gone up or we just think it has gone up from the other moves. It's probably the same ask but my gut is Grier wants to keep Meier unless the deal is really good. If Meier goes less than an overpay at this point I'm buying a pitchfork

SJ is such a mess, even only another 1st + b prospect would do them so much better than an expensive Meier.

Really hope they can pull off a Karlsson trade if they dish Meier, as hard as it is. If you go blow up you go full blow up.
otherwise might as well keep Meier as a core piece since he's not old
