He doesnt. He is 26, statistically one of the worst full time goalies in the nhl since thebstart of last year and has a 3.36 million QO.

Maybe he gets traded then. His awful stats are due to injury, at least last year, and I think the 3m isn't a big deal since he can just not be kept around when Schmid or Daws is ready.

Meh.

He's young, has a positive xG and has shown that he can steal games. His SV% is terrible because the bulk of his starts were when the Devils were allowing like 20 shots per game. Only reason I think Fitz should move on from him this season is how injury-prone he is. People need to re-evaluate what league average goaltending is these days. Scoring has just gone up like crazy.

Its a big deal in a flat cap. He is at best a 1 million dollar goalie

He is a -19 GSAA over the last 3 years its not scoring he is a bad goalie.

He is a 1 million dollar goalie

He sure did play terrible last season with a heel so inflamed that his skates didn't even fit. And you really think SV% is a good stat to evaluate a goaltender?...

Really don't care at all if he's back in NJ or not next season. But he's at least an average goaltender (when healthy). NJ's got a low bar for what goaltending is good enough, and being average is good enough.
