Friedman on 32TP says the Oilers' players have made it clear if there is a trade they want someone who can bring the puck out of the zone, not someone who just bangs it off the glass but can move it.

JP is still on the team though, it's probably best for all parties that he's traded.

There is a problem with the trade though, the Sharks can't take 500K in cap space back (without another move), but also number of contracts, they are at 49/50.

They could send over minor league contracts, but I think a Karlsson trade just relies too many moving parts for it to happen, but I guess we will see. I do think something could be worked out in the off-season easier though.
