I don't see the Avs being keen to part with JLF for the current version of ROR. Finding a prospect the Avs would happily part with and STL would accept with the cupboard so bare may be tough.

I appreciate your observation. I'm just trying to move Krug off this roster. To me, undersized offensive D-men are a luxury that the Blues can't afford and they still have an unproven Perunivich. Any reasonable suggestions?

Depends a lot on how the blues see this summer. I assume its sort of similar to the caps, where they're loading up for one more push but still hoping to build some assets for the future. If thats the case, probably need to dump to Arizona or take a similarly bad contract (OEL? Risto? Boeser?) in exchange. If they're really selling / don't see much hope for next year, might as well keep him on the roster and hope he has a renaissance at some point to boost his value.

I think they are definitely selling. But, if you can't move Krug, that gives you 2 x $6.5M defensemen with term that you need to rehab. I think Parayko still has the tools to be a solid shut-down D, but he hasn't played well for a while either.

With EJ out, Avs can take on RoR without retention(leaving a spot to retain on a dman or w.e). How about a '24 1st and ranta insteas of JLF
