Lukas Dostal is one of the top 5-6 prospects the Ducks have, and a good bet to be their future goaltender, even if not a Vasilevskiy type.. no chance they trade him for a cap dump and a 3rd round pick mate.

DISREGARD - see below.

Oops. I think I, maybe we, read it wrong..... Dostal stays in Anaheim, they simply get the 3rd rounder plus the dump... yep, the Dostal thing was a coincident transaction to minors. My bad lol.

I can see the Sens making it a 2nd but I don't think they'd need to retain, especially with his low cap hit.

All good, just had to send someone down to comply with the roster limit, so I just chose the person who was last called up.

Probably comes down to how desperately they need/want space to re-sign DeBrincat. Not sure what there situation is like when the season is up but if they need the money that bad, they may just give away a 2nd like that. Tre gave away a 1st to lose Monahan's contract after all... sigh.

Low cap hit? His cap hit is $4.5M. "Effective Cap Hit" is showing how much he still needs to be paid this season. If it was only $1.3M he would've been gone last summer for a 7th. As a Sens fan, I don't want to rag on him too much but he is straight-up ****. He eats a chunk of your Cap Space, takes a roster spot away, and plays like he has lost his passion for hockey. If you're moving Zaitsev and a pick for FC with no retention, you're looking at a Monahan 2.0 trade.

Ahhhh my fault. Misread effective cap hit for the actual one.
