No 2023 1st = no retention on Rico

I think it’s too much for Meier. But based on Sharks asking price, it’s not enough. Along with a 1st, they want either Luke Hughes or two of Holtz, Mercer, Nemec.

do you have a source for this, everything ive seen from sharks writers is a first and an a prospect or a 1st and b prospect + young NHL or 1st +2 b prospects

Oh the last I read from Johnston is that the return has to be better than what Tarasenko and horvat got so it's a 3 piece + trade. I dont have access to shengs paid articles but the one I saw from it was Holtz + Muk + first. Nothing out there to suggest the sharks would want two of holtz mercer Nemec as a minimum. the only proposed trade ive seen involving any of the devils big name prospects by a professional writer was a 1st + mercer + Johnson and 3 mil retention on meier w/contract extension.
