Description

I am simply targeting WHO I would like leafs to go after at Deadline and who should be gone off current roster to achieve this. The rest is picks or prospects involved to make happen and I believe they have the means to sort a fair deal with each Team involved. Debatable on what's included for each trade and everyone has own opinion, but doable for sure!! Not here to argue about a 2nd or a 3rd (That's Dubas's job!!)

The lines chosen are moveable obviously, more concerned about the personnel

Kane, Patrick ($5,250,000 retained)
Lafferty, Sam

Additional Details:

I believe Kane can flick a switch for playoffs and be a HUGE factor for ANY team involved. It's Patrick Kane!!!
Re Sign Kane 2-3 years at a reasonable deal if he is willing to stay of course.
Lafferty is a good bottom 6 guy on a good deal for next season as well. Other teams want him as well, so may cost more then value but IMO worth it, to a point of course!!

CHI

Additional Details:

VERY UNSURE of what it would take for this to happen. Holl and Engvall are for salary and need to be off roster for money to work! (Possibly flipable as well. Maybe leafs flip em first and include picks..who knows!!). I'm sure a deal of picks and prospects can be worked out between the 2 Teams to make this happen and Fair for both!
Kane's Hip and ability to control where he goes makes this most confusing!

TOR

O'Reilly, Ryan ($3,750,000 retained)

Additional Details:

like Kane, I think O'reilly has tremendous upside and will benefit ANY team involved in the Playoffs!
Re Sign 2-3 years at reasonable deal if Interested, for sure!

Kerfoot, Alexander

Additional Details:

O'Reilly at close to same amount of Kerfoot just makes sense!!
Unsure of cost, but a combination of picks and prospects for FAIR trade for sure doable!

If the package coming back is good enough, I'm sure CHI would be willing to take on Holl and Engvall's contracts. Who knows? They could even turn out to be a decent fit in CHI for a little while.

Kane and O'reiilly both not having best seasons and injured or coming off one, They should come at a more reasonable price then Meier IMO and not require "TOP Prospects" to pull off trade. Again, just my opinion eh, trust me, Timo Meier ends up on Leafs, you will see me smiling from ear to ear!!!!
