Still Work To Do Part 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>Kerfoot might get some value somewhere, but Jarnkrok's extended term is going to drive some teams away - I don't see anyone really jumping at the chance to take his 3x$2.1M off your hands at the deadline. Maybe in the summer.
Arizona would lose this trade, badly. The 1st round has a very strong chance of being in the 30-32 range; the other picks aren't really exciting either. Hirvonen is a couple years away from knowing if he's going to be useful; Abruzzese is old enough already that we can tell he probably won't really be, and Robertson is out with his third major injury int he last 3 years. So it's a mixed bag of a package going back.
Crouse just signed a 5x$4.3M extension in Arizona this summer, and has been vocal about actually wanting to be there. What kind of message do you think it sends if you trade a guy like that 3/4 of the way through the first year of his deal? And McBain is someone they just traded a 2nd rounder for last year - I can't imagine they're interested in flipping him back out so soon.</div></div>
All Valid points and make sense totally Jamcrok is horrible deal possibly waivers if needed. I do agree it would take more then my initail players added to ARZ. I am simply after what Leafs need!!!..These 2 would be perfect in my eyes. Also , as I mentioned below trade, it may take more!!...Leafs have another first, knies and other prospects...for sure doable IMO Crousse along with Mcbain both Ontario boys that fit Leafs window for winning. Let's be honest, Arizona don't even own a house to open a window in. A LONG ways away from competing
What you think it would take for Leafs to get these 2?...they are not in the "untouchable" category or that elite that they couldn't be bought for a price!

Crouse is a FAR better long term and immediate addition then Jamcrok easily!!!. In all honesty I never understood signing jamcrok to that contract, now THAT is dumb. Too many soft players and they need to go IMO.
2 cap dumps and an over payment...how don't that make sense???..you may not like it or your opinion is different, it makes sense NOW and long term. Trade future Lw's for current good Lw's that fit our window!!

Kane and O'reiilly both not having best seasons and injured or coming off one, They should come at a more reasonable price then Meier IMO and not require "TOP Prospects" to pull off trade. Again, just my opinion eh, trust me, Timo Meier ends up on Leafs, you will see me smiling from ear to ear!!!!

Playoffs 2023
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EvanderKanesLawyer</b></div><div>I've seen different people in different threads mention your names when it comes to Leafs homerism. PW kind of has a point.
The proposed trade is bad, simply put.
If you're valuing Jeannot's goal production (which Rip seems to love bringing up), you've probably already lost any merit in your arguments. Everyone knows his massive shooting% probably wouldn't be matched, however,
a physical middle 6 power forward who is a reliable penalty killer and faces tough matches at 15 minutes TOI, if publicly made available by David Poile, would garner a lot of interest from contending teams looking for that sort of player to fit into a role.
Combine that with being only 25, worth 800k (pretty cost efficient and team controlled) and an expiring RFA. He could probably fetch Nashville a decent package.
Nobody is saying he's worth a 1st and Knies. I don't know why you act like that, but a lot of Jeannot trades proposed here don't benefit Nashville in the slightest.
But Robertson, Steeves, and a 4th that's another year out is a painfully bad take on where his value lies.
I'd love to see Jeannot's performance playing on Toronto's 3rd line, or how he would be a decent playdriver if put in an actually talented top 6.
Both of you are kind of echo-chambered. But it's fine, you get what you get.</div></div>
LOL Don't waste your breath with these 2, it's like speaking to a deaf dog with tourette's!! I've only been on here a few days and pegged the Homers right off the bat! You make very good points!! Jeannot is a BEAST and be exactly what the leafs need. I personally wouldn't let him go for that either and I'm a MASSIVE leaf fan (don't clump me with the homer's eh)

100% agree with the "IF" and it being unprotected as well. A bit of leverage with Kane having final say but probably have to sweeten the pot a bit here. As for a top 10 pick, I can't honestly see the leafs missing the playoffs for next 3-5 maybe more years. if they do, they have pooched the dog bigtime along the way (wouldn't be too shocking tho..lol). Kane still worth the risk for a run at it this year!

Mckinnon isn't a tough player??????? Let's put it this way and maybe you understand the TRUE difference. Mackinnon, Kadri or Landeskog (arguably Rantonen as well!!) would beat the FACE OFF our top 4 if they dropped the gloves OR wanted the puck MORE in the corner during a crucial part of the game (example: pick a year we choked and re watch!!)...PURE FACTS!!!.. Colorado's top 4 has a TONNE of jam and our top 4 does not!...I never said Colorado itself was more physical, I said NUMEROUS times that our top 4 is soft!!..For some reason this hurts your feelings and keep trying to compare them to WAY more physical players with a tonne of skill as well. See what's missing????????? Remember this is a CONTACT sport and Playoff hockey is WAY different. Until they take Fighting/hitting out of hockey, (I'll quit watching) then you will ALWAYS need toughness along with skill.
Btw, we have nothing that compares to MAKAR or comes even close. If you believe otherwise, then you are (like many others) over valuing your own players and not seeing them for their TRUE potential! Makar is a MASSIVE reason Colorado was SO good as well...MANY factors, the Leafs don't have!! Comparing the 2 is just non sense.
I don't want to come off as a LEAF Hater, quite the opposite, I'm a MASSIVE fan and LOVE our team!!! But I am also a realist and watching your team get manhandled by guys every year who want it more gets old!!! Reality, you have to go through Tampa AND Boston, adding Toughness IMO is top priority!!

This is why you hits guys are so ridiculous, reality doesn't even back you up. Someone said TO isn't tough enough and now you guys ignore everything else.
