No reason to deal Rico if we aren’t getting at least a 2023 1st back

OK well then hold onto him and waste his career. Other options are out there.

I'd hope the Wings hold out for a prospect in a Bertuzzi trade as then it's a guy with a little more known development and closer to the show. 1st from the Pengs isn't terrible though as they could be an early out.

I like it. pens need to go for it. Sid is playing at championship level still but he needs more from bottom 6 and D.

McGinn and Blueger are good penalty killers and good players when they have competent line mates. Kapenen and Carter need off of this team as soon as possible though

Except he's not getting that. Cost of a middle six forward like Rico last year was either around a 1st (like Tyler Toffoli and Andrew Copp) or a 2nd and a decent prospect (like Rickard Rakell and Artturi Lehkonen) and it's no offense to Adam Henrique, but he's not the the player Toffoli is, and Copp was overpaid (and got Selke votes) last year.
You want a first for Rico, I'm willing to offer the 2024 one, but that's already getting desperate.

McGinn isn't good. And based on this year Blueger isn't that good either - his linemates are drastically outplaying him. You can't blame his linemates. Carter is horrible but he isn't going anywhere. Kapanen is the one who's actually decent on that 3rd line and good when he has competent linemates.
