Arizona probably gets a more favorable deal, without retention and a 2023 1st.

Ya, I don't disagree. Retention means nothing to Arizona though. So it more depends on if they want prospects who could play for them this next year (Robertson, Kerfoot, Sandin) and Voit in two-three years possibly with their 2024 1st pick. Sandin also slots straight into their D pairing which I'm not sure how many other teams are offering an active NHL D in their Chychrun trades.

But yes, other teams could and likely will offer something including 2023 1st. So it depends on what else they offer in terms of roster players and prospects.

It's not a terrible package but;

Arizona doesn't care about retention, but they want to get paid for it.

Robertsons value is seriously deflated due to injuries.

Kerfoot is tough to sell as having much value with how often the TO media trashes him (Kyper and Bourne particularly).

If Dubas was going to make a move on Chychrun, he probably would have routed O'Reilly through Arizona, got them to retain and forked over the assets there.

Fun idea, I've made plenty of Chychrun trades myself.
